Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of heavy equipment and possess strong mechanical aptitude.

 

Duties

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery, and industrial equipment

- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings to troubleshoot problems

- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of parts

- Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment to inspect, test, and repair equipment components

- Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts that need replacement

- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed, according to company procedures

 

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role

- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals

- Knowledge of automotive repair techniques

- Ability to operate diagnostic tools effectively

- Strong understanding of electrical systems in heavy machinery

- Experience with digging equipment is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

 

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

 

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

• Weekends as needed

• Work Location: In person
